Born in a small village in Germany and raised in Portland, Oregon, Frankie Tresser creates visually striking, editorial imagery rooted in light, color, shape, and texture. She first picked up a camera in 2016, drawn to its ability to capture and shape how a moment is experienced.
With a background in graphic design and fine arts, including illustration, sculpture, and painting, Frankie brings a multidimensional approach to her work. She blends previous art mediums into portraiture, fashion, product, and concept photography. Before formal training, she taught herself through self-portraiture, developing a strong understanding of lighting and direction through experimentation. This has shaped her calm, collaborative presence on set and her ability to bring out authentic, engaging moments. Frankie later studied in the Integrated Media program at Mt. Hood Community College, graduating with an Associate of Applied Science in Digital Media and Photography.
Alongside her creative practice, Frankie has worked as a media and photography teacher, guiding young creatives as they build confidence and find their voice both behind and in front of the camera. Through her work with Portland Parks & Recreation, she has supported youth from a wide range of backgrounds, creating and leading courses in videography, journalism, post-production editing, and YouTube media.
Frankie is based in Portland, Oregon, and is available for travel.
