BEE IN A PEONY FARM

Artist Statement

POV: you are a Bee in Oregon and find a flower farm, so you stop to see what is around. There are amazing flowers all around you, and eventually, you get lost in all the rows of peonies.

After visiting Adelman Peony Gardens, I was inspired to visualize what it is like to be a bug (specifically a bee) seeing a vast flower farm. I can imagine the colors being vibrant and different from how we see them, so I explored an experimental color grade I have been working on. I also wanted to challenge myself while I was there to find different perspectives that I could take photos from that a bee might see.
